On Tuesday, Oct. 8, a special wellness presentation will highlight programs and resources for those looking to commute to and around campus via bicycle. Additionally, the next group ride to the farmers’ market will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 9. Learn more.
The presentation, “What to Do When a Colleague is in Distress,” will discuss becoming familiar with signs of distress among colleagues. Learn how to talk about these signs and practice sharing your concerns, as well as helpful ways to motivate them to seek additional help. Experts from the UF Counseling and Wellness Center will explain the signs of distress and best practices for what we should do for our fellow colleagues.

During this quarter’s Wellness Wednesday series — the theme of which is “Get Up and Go!” — we’ll highlight some of the simple lifestyle changes that we can adopt to have a huge impact on our life.
We’re hosting two wellness events this month designed to put you in a healthy and happy holiday spirit. Join us in person or via Facebook Live for a “Seasons Eatings” event at the Field & Fork Garden on Dec. 12 and for a cozy “Ask the Dietitian” event at the Keene Faculty Center on Dec. 18.
December’s Wellness Wednesday will take participants out of the classroom and into the garden by joining Field and Fork’s Anna Prizzia and Dina Liebowitz for a special “Seasons Eatings” on the farm at Field and Fork’s Community Gardens.
